Marine throws puppy

Last month a video was released through the net of 2 Marines, 1 recording and the other holding a puppy and throwing off a cliff. This is the video( but understand that there are still a lot of facts missing so this video may not be real).
In this video the Marine holds up a puppy and says "oh so cute", then he throws the puppy off the cliff and the recorder Marine says " that's mean". The name stated in this video was tracked and led to a David Motari. But not much information is known.
I think, this video looks odd and could be a hoax. The puppy did not twitch or move when being held up and when thrown the voice of the puppy seemed put in by editing and the voice did not change in volume as the dog was thrown further. But, what shocks me and a couple of other bloggers more is that people online are actually surprised about this and determined to track down the soldiers in the video.. Although this is animal cruelty if it is real, there are way more other videos of soldiers causing mayhem in Iraq, including shooting dogs. With people dying each day in Iraq how come a mere puppy throwing video gets so much publicity from the American public? I think the greatest animal cruelty is not man's best friend- dogs, but humans.

Cows can't Moooove?

There has been a massive meat recall here in America. The Agriculture Department has ordered 143 million pounds of beef recalled because of an investigation at a cattle slaughterhouse. This was the largest beef recall in U.S. history. This is the hidden video a worker took (Warning images are very disturbing and shocking).
In this video u will see undernourished cow's being tortured. The workers are trying to move the cows because the cows cannot stand up on their own. These cows are too sick and injured to stand or move. The workers ram the cows with forklifts, kick and beat the cows, shocked with electric prods and dragged with chains. This is seriously cruel and inhumane. The workers seen in this video have been fired but there is no word if the injured cows were put with the rest of the cows to be slaughtered. These cows could be sick from mad cow disease and a small number of people who have eaten these meat developed fatal brain infection.
I feel sad for these cows and I think what if it was reversed? What if cows ruled and ate humans? You wouldn't want to be dragged around on a chain and hosed in the face would you? Although the cows are going to the slaughterhouse anyways, there is no excuse to torture the already sick cows like this. The sad part is, this happens all the time.

BLoggShmogg's First Post on Animal Politics

Ok, so this is my first post on my blogg for class. This blogg is going to be about animal politics e.g. animal cruelty, vegetarians and things like that. This is what I think about animal cruelty:
I think animal cruelty is not acknowledged because people are not exposed to what happens behind our food/clothes. A trip to the slaughterhouse is like watching the Saw movies live, with the chains, torture, mutilation and all. I remember my first trip to a slaughterhouse was a School trip. This was in third grade and our teacher wanted us to see where milk comes from. I don't think she intended us to see how horrid it was. The farm was a total mess and all I saw everywhere were cow's pumped with hormones, doing nothing but defecating next to each other in a dark damp muddy place crammed together. The smell was horrible, it was nothing like the commercials of cow's roaming free in a meadow eating grass and just chilling.
Animal Cruelty is a big part of where I come from. Villages in China are poor and unsanitary. I used to hear stories of back then how my grandpa would raise puppies and kill them to eat even though he did not want to. The killing process is always drastic since there is no pain-free way to slaughter(except probably with a bullet to the head but who is going to do that..)
These are some of my briefly interpreted experiences with animal cruelty. Stay tuned..
